Getting My Foot Fixed

What You Should Do If You Have Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar fasciitis is a painful, yet treatable condition that can affect one or both of your feet. This is a condition that can give you pain in your heels, that can feel like burning, or as if pins are pressing into the heels of your feet. You typically feel this pain after you have been at rest, rather than when you are on your feet. This is because the band in your foot is being stretched and the calcium buildup is being pressed into, which can offer you temporary relief when you move, but as soon as you rest, or take your first steps after being at rest, it can be very painful. The cause of this condition may be due to a number of things, including being overweight, wearing improper footwear, having a poor gait, or due to a previous injury. If you have been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis, there are things you may be able to do to offer you relief when at home. Read on for helpful information.

Tape Your Arch And Heel

To help offer you relief when you aren't in motion, use kinesiology tape to tape your foot and to give some pressure onto your foot to alleviate the pain you may feel when you aren't in motion. Tape your feet when you aren't on your feet, or even when you are on your feet. Tape your feet to give you some relief. You can tape them daily.

Wear Better Footwear

Wear shoes that fit your feet better and offer support for your entire foot, not just your arch and your heel, but your entire foot. You shouldn't feel pain from your shoes at all, and if you do, you need to wear different shoes. Your toes should fit with enough room to wiggle them, and your feet shouldn't slide back and forth. If your feet move in your shoes, you need to swap your shoes for a better fit.

Rest When Needed

Overdoing it can cause other issues for your feet, not just plantar fasciitis. You need to rest your feet whenever necessary to prevent pain associated with plantar fasciitis. Be sure to rest your feet after you have been on your feet all day, even soaking them in Epsom salts to help soothe your feet can help with the pain associated with plantar fasciitis.
